“TUF” Holds Tight Against ‘Da Series

Baseball may have had the World Series in action last night, but “The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights” held up for Spike TV. According to MMAWeekly, the seventh episode of the season clocked 2.5 million viewers. While this is a slight drop from recent weeks, the show still grabbed some dudes in key demographics. You know, for advertisers.
According to Spike TV officials, Episode 7 clocked in once again as the number one rated show with Men 18-34 and Men 18-49 for cable television, and was also the number two rated show in those demographics in the 10:00-11:00 p.m. timeslot in all of television, behind the World Series.
I’m not a baseball guy, but I recognize the significance this has for MMA. And the fact that Game 1 of the series was strong in the overall ratings is even better news that Spike was able to keep this large of an audience. Or maybe MMA fans just don’t like baseball. Yeah, maybe that’s it.
Note: It’s been awhile since you’ve gotten reports, musings, meaningless ramblings from this site. Not apologizing for it, but look for more very soon. My hand transplants are healing nicely.
